In this dystopian story, the Reestablishment has been all but extinguished outside of the last strognhold on a small island where our FMC, Rosabelle Wolff is struggling to get by. When James Anderson (now 21) tries to infiltrate the island to prove himself to his older brother Aaron, he and Rosabelle are pitted against one another - each with their own mission to get into the head of the other.

However.

They're extremely attracted to one another.

(What could possibly go wrong?)

Honestly, this was the BEST slow burn I've read in a long time. And it followed a lot of the same feeligns that we saw in the original Shatter Me trilogy with Juliette Ferrars (which I loved).

James is hilarious (something he seems to have picked up from Kenji), and I found myself laughing throughout the entire story.
