Okay, for those curious: this is based on a ballet.

Giselle, the ghost girl, died of a broken heart because she found out that the prince was betrothed to a noblewoman. Thing was, he regretted what happened so much that he went to beg for forgiveness at her grave. These other ghosts are the Wilis, and they are unmarried women who were each betrayed by their lovers, to their deaths. They rise to take revenge on the men who broke their hearts by forcing them to dance themselves to death. They bring the prince before Giselle and urge her to take revenge, but she loves him too much to kill him.

Those ghosts would hold the most epic rave party ever

@Missmi

I saw your 'trailer' on Instagram and had to come watch the full thing! Such a stunning adaptation of my very favourite ballet! I especially love the airborne-spin where she has her moment of realisation, hangs her head and cries. Beautiful and powerful. This is wonderful, Mina đź’™

@libraopal22

This animation is so beautiful and reminds me of an Irish studio called Cartoon Saloon. I adore the story and the colors.

@PeMagCh

This film touches my heart deeply. You summed up your love for ballet, cinema, and music so beautifully, and the film is an inspiring interpretation of a classic ballet story. Amazing work! 👏Looking forward to see your continuous growth in arts!

@aldencrispin1086

Me clicking on the video: Giselle, cool
Me seeing her rise out of her grave: omg, it’s GISELLE
Absolutely amazing, the animation, character design, just love it! So moody! And the way it works together with the music(as a musician this is something I always look out for), made me so happy! Great job

@lapetitenellie

2:29 You captured the famous turns of Giselle as commanded by Myrtha! While Giselle leaps and bounds in the ballet variation, I adore the concept of her FLYING as opposed to the leaps in this animation - which is what I feel is the intention of the leaps. Matched with the Liszt piece perfectly. You captured the essence of Giselle Act 2 so magically. Airy & romantic but also dark & inhibited (by Myrtha). Wonderful work!

@Snail_p3rson

I love the variety of the shot composition, they are not all YouTube sizes but some are square, some are thin, some are long. It kinda opened a whole new way of doing composition for me :0 I have been stuck with YouTube standards for so long, this made me wanna try something new. Tysm for inspiring me!

@leucamaclean8900

Really tranquil vibes. The movement/classical music combo reminds me of fantasia

@whosm4rv

this is absolutely stunning!! it almost feels like watching a story told through panels in a tapestry. The colours, the shapes the dancing, truly beautiful

@marilunina03

Oh, Giselle looks so beautiful, and it's interesting how she as a ghost seems to glow more noticeably than the other dancers ghosts, whose glow is dim, and the detail of the bridal veil only makes her look more ethereal. That and she and the lady with the headdress are also resplendent to a certain extent giving that unreal and magical appearance.

@ISmellSarcasm

This is so beautiful!! Giselle is one of my favourite ballets and you captured the delicate but eerie vibe of the ghosts so well!!

@CrowSkeleton

Beautiful. Always a treat to see a new take on an old story that 'gets' it whilst being very much its own thing with an evocative weight and texture: one feels the ghost women are all made of tulle here, and gosh I was excited to see Giselle herself.

@blackforestwaltz

Oh this is absolutely beautiful! I adore how every scene looks like it’s both being performed on a stage AND out in the real world at the same time.

@ariart1312

Beautiful! Just beautiful!! I adore your use of shapes and color, it's so charming. And I love how there were different sized panels to tell the story, always having negative space in each frame until it came to full screen when Giselle floated. DELICIOUS. Well done! <3

@macncheesetv9816

Stunning interpretation of the ballet! Very reminiscent of the nutcracker suite from Fantasia (1940). Can’t wait to see more of your work!

@MayewsRoom

This is a masterclass in animation, story telling, and emotion evoking hauntingly beautiful music. Thank you for this. ❤

@coolcoffeybeans

The way you told this story visually was wonderful. I was not familiar with the Giselle ballet at all before this, but I understood everything happening anyway. This is truly a masterpiece🫶🫶 Wishing you the best in the future.

@sophiecrophie7540

Absolutely entrancing! I love the color pallette, the shapes of it all, the way the emotions of what is happening is so well echoed by the music... be very proud of this!!!

@TheDanceMan567

As someone who has seen Giselle, this is such an amazing film and a spot-on adaptation.
The art style is perfect here. Reminds me a lot of The Secret of Kells, and it totally fits with the overall tone of the ballet. It gives it a sense of uniqueness that's really hard to describe.
